The apple skin helps burn calories
A compound present in the skin of the apple, ursolic elácido, reduces obesity and health problems associated with its ability to increase the amount of muscle and brown fat, two tissues with high capacity paraquemar calories.

This conclusion has come Christopher Adams and colleagues at the University of Iowa (U.S.), specialized in studies of diabetes. Testing the effects of the compound in mice with a high fat diet, researchers found that while increased skeletal muscle and white fat changed the "love" for brown fat, ursolic acid effectively reduced the incidence of obesity, diabetes and fatty liver.
The latter disease has no treatment, is associated with excess weight and affects one in five U.S. adults.
