Shocking: needles Found in foods of Delta Airlines flight.
A passenger who was traveling to Minneapolis was injured after his turkey sandwich that was served on the Delta Airlines flight was found with sewing needles.
The passenger was with small cuts, but refused medical attention, said airline spokeswoman Kristin Baur.
Also, reported that only the first needle was found, sent messages to other flights that had left Amsterdam, where the sandwiches were prepared by the same food company. Passengers were served pizza.
The company that prepared the food, Gate Gourmet, issued a statement reporting that they had begun its own investigation. "We are evaluating all our, per se, strict security procedures to prevent any recurrence" he said.
